What are the 100 smart cities in India?

The 100 Smart Cities of India are a set of urban centres selected by the Government of India under the Smart City Mission (2015) through a competitive process to receive central funding and support for technology-driven urban development and infrastructure upgradation.

Smart Cities by Region

  • North India: Delhi (NDMC area), Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Agra, Kanpur, Lucknow, Varanasi, Allahabad, Ghaziabad
  • West India: Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, Kalyan-Dombivli, Aurangabad, Solapur, Thane, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Udaipur, Jaipur, Kota
  • South India: Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Madurai, Thanjavur, Salem, Tiruppur, Vellore, Tirunelveli, Visakhapatnam, Warangal, Karimnagar, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram
  • East India: Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Raipur, Ranchi, Patna, Guwahati, Agartala, Imphal, Kohima, Shillong, Gangtok, Aizawl, Itanagar
  • Central India: Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain, Satna, Sagar
